Something about torn down walls, it opens new spaces.

For today’s outfit, I decided to visit the infamous Bates Motel. If you didn’t know by now, this building was formerly known as the Sunset Pacific Motel on Sunset Boulevard. It gained so much attention because the building turned white as a ghost. Locals like to call it the Bates Motel because of the creepy vibes it gives off. If you’ve seen the 1960’s classic, Psycho, then I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. French artist Vincent Lamouroux was responsible for this piece of art. He covered the whole building (including everything that surrounds it) with lime wash, which he calls Projection LA.

Just like this building, my dress is torn apart, but still looks put together in white.

Fashion is constantly changing, and us fashion-lovers are always on the look out for the hottest trends every season. With that, it is inevitable that our style evolves with time. That’s why I teamed up with Tobi to reinvent my style for the new year, while still staying true to my style. Today I’m bringing out the grunge gal in me with the Dark Secrets Bodycon Dress. It’s daring with the see-through cutouts, and comfy with the stretchy material. Nothing else says grunge like layers and leather, so I paired the dress with my favorite moto jacket. I can run around town all night long with this outfit in my combat boots and slouchy knit beanie, to keep my head warm in this weather (and to hide my messy hair, of course!).

Plaid is a must-have in your wardrobe for the fall and winter season. The print is not limited to the preppy style like it used to. Now you can incorporate different styles and looks, like simply getting a plaid flannel and wrapping it around your waist for a street look. It was love at first sight with this UNIF plaid skirt. I fancy plaid prints because it’s timeless and versatile. The overall color is like a smoke-y purple, which I’m really drawn to. The skirt fits my waist perfectly and flows beautifully with the soft material, with a high-slit and rugged edges. I paired the skirt with a cozy fitted long-sleeve for an effortless feel, and a wide-brim hat and wedge booties to complete the look. xo, Pau
